Modern Meadow President & COO Catherine Roggero-Lovisi was interviewed by Glossy about the industry trend to ban the use of exotic leathers. This comes after a recent announcement by Burberry in its fiscal year 2022 earnings call that it would ban the use of exotic leathers, including python and alligator skin, while continuing to use the more common cow leather. A growing list of luxury brands like Chanel has outlawed the use of exotic leathers and the last few years have seen luxury brands dropping fur entirely.
